Living in Ondara

Ondara lies in the north-east of the Marina Alta on largely flat land, and only the foothills of the Serra de Segària in the north of the municipality rise above it. The town stands on the river Girona, about 5 km from the coast. Of its Moorish castle only the clock tower, the Torre del Rellotge, remains, protected as a Bien de Interés Cultural. The town hall occupies a former Franciscan convent from the seventeenth century.
